Future Continuous Tense in English Grammar

Future Continuous Tense কী?

Future Continuous Tense is used to describe an action that will be happening at a specific time in the future.

Previous Lesson-এর সাথে Connection

Lesson #24-এ আপনি Simple Future Tense শিখেছেন, যার structure হলো will + V1 এবং এটি future action, promise, prediction বা decision বোঝায়। Future Continuous Tense তার থেকে আলাদা, কারণ এটি future-এর কোনো নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে কোনো কাজ চলতে থাকবে বোঝায়।

Future Continuous Tense-এর main structure হলো Subject + will be + V-ing. এখানে will be সব subject-এর সাথে একই থাকে এবং main verb-এর সাথে -ing যোগ হয়।

I will be studying at 8 pm tomorrow.
She will be working this time tomorrow.
They will be playing football in the evening.
We will be learning English next week.

এখানে will be studying, will be working, will be playing, এবং will be learning future continuous tense.

Future Continuous Tense Structure

Positive, negative এবং question structure ভালোভাবে বুঝুন।

Sentence Type	Structure	Example	Bangla Meaning
Positive	Subject + will be + V-ing + Object	I will be studying English.	আমি English পড়তে থাকব / পড়ছিলাম হবে।
Negative	Subject + will not be / won’t be + V-ing	She will not be working tomorrow.	সে আগামীকাল কাজ করতে থাকবে না।
Question	Will + Subject + be + V-ing?	Will they be playing football?	তারা কি football খেলতে থাকবে?
Wh-Question	Wh-word + will + Subject + be + V-ing?	What will you be doing at 8 pm?	রাত ৮টায় তুমি কী করতে থাকবে?
Future Time	Subject + will be + V-ing + future time	I will be sleeping at midnight.	মধ্যরাতে আমি ঘুমাচ্ছিলাম/ঘুমাতে থাকব।

Very Important Rule

Future Continuous Tense-এ main structure সবসময় will be + V-ing. Correct: I will be studying. Wrong: I will be study / I will studying.

Future Continuous Tense Rules

Future continuous tense ঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার করতে will be, V-ing, future time expression এবং simple future difference clear করতে হবে।

Basic Rule

Future continuous tense-এর structure হলো Subject + will be + V-ing.

I will be reading.
She will be writing.
They will be playing.

Will Be + V-ing Rule

সব subject-এর সাথে will be ব্যবহার হয় এবং will be-এর পরে main verb V-ing হয়।

I will be studying.
He will be studying.
They will be studying.
We will be studying.

Negative Structure

Negative করতে will-এর পরে not বসে। Will not be-এর short form হলো won’t be.

I will not be sleeping.
She won’t be working tomorrow.
They will not be playing.
We won’t be waiting for long.

Question Structure

Question করতে will sentence-এর শুরুতে বসে, তারপর subject + be + V-ing হয়।

Will you be studying tonight?
Will he be joining the class?
What will they be doing?
Where will she be staying?

Future Time Expressions

Future continuous tense-এ নির্দিষ্ট future time expression খুব common.

Simple Future vs Future Continuous

Simple future future action বোঝায়। Future continuous future-এর নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে চলমান action বোঝায়।

I will study tomorrow. = future action
I will be studying at 8 pm tomorrow. = action will be happening then
She will call you. = future action
She will be working when you call. = action will be in progress

Bengali Learnersদের Common Future Continuous Mistakes

Future continuous tense-এ learnersরা will be, V-ing এবং simple future confusion নিয়ে বেশি ভুল করে।

I will studying English. ❌

Future continuous tense-এ will be + V-ing লাগে।

She will be study tonight. ❌

She will be studying tonight. ✅

Will be-এর পরে main verb V-ing হবে।

They will be plays football. ❌

They will be playing football. ✅

Will be-এর পরে verb+s/es নয়, V-ing হবে।

Will you be join the class? ❌

Will you be joining the class? ✅

Question form-এও be-এর পরে V-ing বসে।

I will be not working. ❌

Negative করতে will-এর পরে not বসে: will not be.

I will be knowing the answer. ❌

Know stative verb, সাধারণত continuous form হয় না।
