Simple Future Tense in English Grammar

Simple Future Tense হলো এমন tense যা ভবিষ্যতে কোনো কাজ হবে, সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হবে, prediction করা হবে, promise দেওয়া হবে, offer করা হবে বা future plan/intention বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। Bengali learnersদের জন্য এই tense খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, কারণ daily conversation, writing, speaking, promise, plan এবং prediction-এ “I will study”, “She will call”, “They will come”, “I am going to learn English”—এই ধরনের sentence খুব বেশি ব্যবহার হয়। এই lesson-এ আপনি simple future tense meaning, uses, structure, will + V1 rule, going to future, negative-question forms, will vs going to difference, common mistakes, practice এবং quiz সহজভাবে শিখবেন।

Simple Future Tense কী?

Simple Future Tense is used to describe an action, decision, promise, prediction, offer, or plan that will happen in the future.

Lesson #23-এ আপনি Past Perfect Continuous Tense শিখেছেন, যা অতীতের আরেকটি সময়ের আগে কোনো কাজ কতক্ষণ ধরে চলছিল তা বোঝায়। এখন আমরা Future tense series শুরু করছি। Simple Future Tense ভবিষ্যতে কোনো action হবে—এটি বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Simple Future Tense-এর সবচেয়ে common structure হলো Subject + will + V1. এখানে will সব subject-এর সাথে একই থাকে এবং will-এর পরে main verb সবসময় V1/base form হয়।

I will study English tomorrow.
She will call you later.
They will come next week.
We will learn grammar together.

Structure Guide

Simple Future Tense Structure

Positive, negative এবং question structure ভালোভাবে বুঝুন।

Sentence Type	Structure	Example	Bangla Meaning
Positive	Subject + will + V1 + Object	I will study English tomorrow.	আমি আগামীকাল English পড়ব।
Negative	Subject + will not / won’t + V1 + Object	She will not come today.	সে আজ আসবে না।
Question	Will + Subject + V1 + Object?	Will you help me?	তুমি কি আমাকে সাহায্য করবে?
Wh-Question	Wh-word + will + Subject + V1?	Where will you go?	তুমি কোথায় যাবে?
Going To Future	Subject + am/is/are + going to + V1	I am going to learn English.	আমি English শিখতে যাচ্ছি / শিখব।

Very Important Rule

Will-এর পরে main verb সবসময় V1/base form হবে। Correct: She will go. Wrong: She will goes / She will went.

Simple Future Tense Rules

Simple future tense ঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার করতে will + V1, won’t, question form এবং going to difference clear করতে হবে।

Basic Rule

Simple future tense-এর basic structure হলো Subject + will + V1.

I will read.
She will write.
They will play.

Will + V1 Rule

Will সব subject-এর সাথে একই থাকে এবং will-এর পরে main verb V1/base form হয়।

I will go.
He will go.
They will go.
We will go.

Negative Structure

Negative করতে will-এর পরে not বসে। Will not-এর short form হলো won’t.

I will not go.
She won’t come today.
They will not play tomorrow.
We won’t forget this rule.

Question Structure

Question করতে will sentence-এর শুরুতে বসে। Wh-question-এ wh-word + will + subject + V1 হয়।

Will you study tonight?
Will he call me?
Where will they go?
What will you do tomorrow?

Going To Future

Future plan, intention বা evidence-based prediction বোঝাতে am/is/are going to + V1 ব্যবহার হয়।

I am going to learn English.
She is going to buy a book.
They are going to visit us.
Look at the clouds. It is going to rain.

Will vs Going To

Will সাধারণত instant decision, promise, general prediction-এ ব্যবহৃত হয়। Going to সাধারণত prior plan বা clear evidence-এর জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়।

I will help you. = promise / instant decision
I am going to visit Dhaka next week. = planned action
I think it will rain. = prediction
Look at the sky. It is going to rain. = evidence-based prediction

Common Time Expressions with Simple Future

Future tense-এ tomorrow, next week, soon, later—এগুলো খুব common.

tomorrow	Next day	I will study tomorrow.	আমি আগামীকাল পড়ব।
next week	Future week	She will visit us next week.	সে আগামী সপ্তাহে আমাদের দেখতে আসবে।
soon	Near future	They will arrive soon.	তারা শীঘ্রই পৌঁছাবে।
later	After some time	I will call you later.	আমি তোমাকে পরে ফোন করব।
tonight	Future time today	We will watch a movie tonight.	আমরা আজ রাতে একটি movie দেখব।
in 2027	Future year	He will graduate in 2027.	সে ২০২৭ সালে graduate করবে।

Common Mistakes

Bengali Learnersদের Common Simple Future Mistakes

Simple future tense-এ learnersরা will-এর পরে verb form, negative structure এবং going to নিয়ে বেশি ভুল করে।

She will goes to school. ❌

She will go to school. ✅

Will-এর পরে main verb V1/base form হয়।

I will went there. ❌

I will go there. ✅

Will-এর পরে V2 নয়, V1 বসে।

They will not to play. ❌

They will not play. ✅

Will not-এর পরে directly V1 বসে, to লাগে না।

Will you helps me? ❌

Will you help me? ✅

Question form-এ will-এর পরে subject + V1 হয়।

I am going to studying English. ❌

I am going to study English. ✅

Going to-এর পরে main verb V1 হবে।

He will be go tomorrow. ❌

He will go tomorrow. ✅

Simple future tense-এ will + V1 হয়। Will be + V-ing future continuous tense-এর জন্য।
