Pronoun কী?

A pronoun is a word used instead of a noun.

Lesson #5-এ আপনি Noun শিখেছেন। Pronoun noun-এর পরিবর্তে ব্যবহৃত হয়। তাই noun ভালোভাবে বুঝলে pronoun শেখা অনেক সহজ হয়।

একই noun বারবার ব্যবহার করলে sentence awkward বা অস্বাভাবিক শোনায়। Pronoun sentence-কে natural করে।

Rahim is a student. Rahim studies English. Rahim is very hardworking. ❌
Rahim is a student. He studies English. He is very hardworking. ✅

Pronoun Cases and Agreement

Subject pronoun, object pronoun, possessive adjective এবং possessive pronoun আলাদা করে বুঝুন।

Subject Pronoun

Subject pronoun sentence-এর subject হিসেবে কাজ করে।

I, you, he, she, it, we, they
Example: She reads English.

Object Pronoun

Object pronoun verb বা preposition-এর object হিসেবে কাজ করে।

me, you, him, her, it, us, them
Example: I know him. / She called me.

Possessive Adjective

Possessive adjective noun-এর আগে বসে ownership বোঝায়।

my, your, his, her, its, our, their
Example: This is my book.

Possessive Pronoun

Possessive pronoun noun ছাড়া ownership বোঝায়।

mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs
Example: This book is mine.

Pronoun Agreement

Pronoun অবশ্যই noun-এর person, number এবং gender অনুযায়ী হতে হবে।

Rahim is a student. He studies English.
Mina is a student. She studies English.
The students are here. They are ready.

Pronoun case এবং agreement ভুল হলে sentence unnatural হয়।

Subject position-এ subject pronoun লাগে: I.

This book is my. ❌

This book is mine. ✅

Noun ছাড়া ownership বোঝাতে possessive pronoun লাগে: mine.

Rahim is my friend. She is honest. ❌

Rahim is my friend. He is honest. ✅

Rahim male person, তাই he ব্যবহার হবে।

I know he. ❌

I know him. ✅

Object position-এ object pronoun লাগে: him.
