What is an Opinion Paragraph?

Opinion paragraph হলো এমন একটি paragraph যেখানে writer কোনো একটি topic সম্পর্কে নিজের viewpoint প্রকাশ করে এবং সেই viewpoint support করার জন্য reasons ও examples দেয়।

Topic: Should students learn English?

Opinion: Yes, students should learn English because it improves communication skills and creates more opportunities.

The Opinion Paragraph Formula

Opinion + Reason 1 + Example + Reason 2 + Example + Conclusion

Step 1: Choose Your Position

Decide what you believe

প্রথমে আপনার opinion clear করুন। আপনি agree করছেন নাকি disagree করছেন তা ঠিক করুন।

Example topic:

“Online classes are useful for students.”

Possible opinions:

I agree because online classes provide flexibility.
I disagree because students need face-to-face interaction.

Step 2: Write a Strong Topic Sentence

Opinion paragraph-এর প্রথম sentence reader-কে আপনার position জানায়।

Weak:
Online classes are there.

Strong:
Online classes are beneficial for students because they provide flexible learning opportunities.

Step 3: Give Strong Reasons

Explanation

Explain your logic.

Step 4: Use Opinion Linking Words

In my opinion — নিজের viewpoint দিতে
I believe that — belief প্রকাশ করতে
This is because — reason দিতে
For example — example দিতে
Therefore — conclusion দিতে
However — opposite idea দেখাতে

Opinion Paragraph Structure

Sentence 1: Topic Sentence

Your opinion clearly.

Sentence 2-3: First Reason

Explain your first supporting point.

Sentence 4-5: Second Reason

Add another supporting idea.
